In July, it <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Coin98Analytics\/status\/1821736539078193455\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ranked<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> third among <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/category\/ethereum-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ethereum [ETH]<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> L2s with 35.7 million unique addresses. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But with the latest Franklin Templeton move, more network growth seems likely.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The asset manager has opted to expand its tokenized security on the Arbitrum. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This partnership will help accelerate the integration of DeFi (Decentralized Finance) within traditional finance (TradFi).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Commenting on the update, Roger Bayston, Franklin Templeton\u2019s Head of Digital Assets, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/franklin-templeton-money-market-fund-launches-on-arbitrum-blockchain-302217402.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">stated<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018Expanding into the Arbitrum ecosystem is an important step on our journey to empower our asset management capabilities with blockchain technology,&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Will institutional interest boost ARB?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For perspective, the tokenized securities segment exploded after BlackRock made a bet with its BUIDL debut in early 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the time of writing, Arbitrum <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/app.rwa.xyz\/treasuries\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ranked<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as the fourth-highest network in terms of tokenized securities value, which stood at $10.57 million out of a $1.09 billion market cap. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a result, Franklin Templeton\u2019s wide usage could further boost ARB\u2019s network and value in the segment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One market observer, Adriano Feria, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AdrianoFeria\/status\/1821757536841703604\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">claimed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the Arbitrum move could also trickle down to ETH.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Industry leaders are not choosing to build on Ethereum by chance\u2026 Institutional interest in ETH will snowball from here.&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, ARB jumped 14% on the 8th of August, rallying from $0.47 to $0.55.
