They may be scrambling to figure out how to deal with it. He&#8217;s very resourceful and cunning.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As per reports, the group made several attempts to pass proposals that would benefit their own protocol, goldCOMP. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Their first two proposals failed due to community objections and procedural issues.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, their third attempt, <a href=\"https:\/\/compound.finance\/governance\/proposals\/289\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Proposal 289<\/a>, passed successfully. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This proposal involved moving COMP tokens to their goldCOMP vault. Some believed this is a scheme to divert funds, but Humpy claimed that their setup prevents fund theft.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Execs weigh in<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alex Netto, CEO at Blockful, explained it well when he said,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAt first glance, it doesn\u2019t look like an attack, since this whale invested a lot of money to have significant voting power in Compound\u2019s DAO.
