{"id":395887,"date":"2024-05-31T08:30:35","date_gmt":"2024-05-31T03:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/?p=395887"},"modified":"2024-05-30T14:43:42","modified_gmt":"2024-05-30T09:13:42","slug":"whales-flock-to-toncoin-despite-price-risks-whats-your-move","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/whales-flock-to-toncoin-despite-price-risks-whats-your-move\/","title":{"rendered":"Whales flock to Toncoin despite price risks: What&#8217;s your move?"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Toncoin has seen an uptick in whale accumulation.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, it remains at risk of decline.<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/the-open-network-price-prediction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Toncoin [TON]<\/a> has seen a surge in whale activity on its network in the past few weeks, CryptoQuant analyst Joao Wedson found in a new <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoquant.com\/insights\/quicktake\/6657d062ec2ef96b8521295a-Impressive-Growth-Major-Players-Accumulating-100k-to-1M-TON\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Wedson, there has been a notable uptick in wallet addresses holding between 100,000 and 1 million TON tokens.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wedson argued that:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cSuch behavior from major players is often a strong indicator of the asset&#8217;s potential and perceived value. Their growing accumulation signals a positive outlook and a belief in the continued growth and stability of TON.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, the ongoing whale accumulation has failed to move the needles, as readings from TON\u2019s price chart showed that it may be poised for a short-term decline.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>TON has a rough road ahead of it<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At press time, the altcoin exchanged hands at $6.43. While its value has risen by 20% in the last month, TON may soon shed some of these gains.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite TON\u2019s price growth, its Relative Strength Index (RSI) and Money Flow Index (MFI) have declined, thereby creating a bearish divergence. At press time, TON\u2019s RSI was 52.57, while its MFI was 23.39.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At these values, the indicators showed that even though TON\u2019s price has risen in the past few weeks, the underlying buying pressure might be weakening.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The divergence formed tells market participants that the uptrend might be nearing exhaustion, and a potential decline is on the horizon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Confirming the possibility of a downtrend, the dots of TON\u2019s Parabolic SAR indicator rested above its price.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This indicator identifies an asset\u2019s potential trend direction and price reversals. When its dotted lines are placed above an asset\u2019s price, the market is said to be in decline. This indicates that buying pressure is weak, and the asset\u2019s price may witness a decline.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, TON\u2019s MACD line (blue) rested below its signal line (orange) as of this writing.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Is your portfolio green?
