Crypto inflows hit $14.9B YTD"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last week\u2019s crypto market rally led to a flow of funds into crypto-backed investment products.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last week, Ethereum recorded its highest weekly inflows since March.<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Digital asset investment products recorded inflows totaling $1.05 billion last week, marking the third consecutive week of inflows, digital asset investment firm CoinShares found in its new <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.coinshares.com\/volume-184-digital-asset-fund-flows-weekly-report-1e6d324b3192\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the report, last week&#8217;s inflows brought the year-to-date inflows into cryptocurrency funds to a record-breaking $14.9 billion.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_395569\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-395569\" style=\"width: 1356px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-29-at-06.47.07.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-395569\" src=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-29-at-06.47.07.png\" alt=\"Flows by Asset\" width=\"1356\" height=\"1068\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-29-at-06.47.07.png 1356w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-29-at-06.47.07-300x236.png 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-29-at-06.47.07-1024x807.png 1024w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-29-at-06.47.07-768x605.png 768w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-29-at-06.47.07-1200x945.png 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1356px) 100vw, 1356px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-395569\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: CoinShares<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The digital asset investment firm found that last week\u2019s crypto market surge positively impacted the activity around Exchange-Traded Products (ETPs). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During that period, weekly ETP trading volume climbed by 28% to $13 billion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the end of the period observed by CoinShares, the total assets under management (AUM) for crypto-related investment products was above $98 billion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This marked a 7% growth from the $91 billion recorded the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.coinshares.com\/volume-183-digital-asset-fund-flows-weekly-report-21f5ffa273a5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">previous week<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regionally, most of last week\u2019s flows into crypto funds came from the United States, Germany, and Switzerland, with inflows of $1.03 billion, $48 million, and $30 million, respectively.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interestingly, Hong Kong saw outflows during the week in review. According to CoinShares,<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDisappointingly, since the initial positive launch of Bitcoin spot-based ETFs in Hong Kong (which saw US$300m in the first week), there have been further outflows last week of US$29m.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h4><b>Bitcoin\u2019s YTD inflows topple $14 billion<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last week, Bitcoin-backed investment products saw inflows of $1.03 billion, representing 98% of all inflows recorded during that period. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This pushed the leading coin\u2019s YTD inflows to $14.60 billion, an 8% rally from the previous week\u2019s YTD inflow of $13.58 billion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regarding short-Bitcoin products, they recorded outflows of $4.3 million last week, bringing their month-to-date outflows to $8.8 million. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CoinShares said this might be due to changing sentiments around Bitcoin from negative to positive.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis is likely due to investors interpreting the FOMC minutes and recent macro data as mildly dovish, it added.\u201d<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h4><b>Ethereum reaches new milestone\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the week under review, the leading altcoin, <a href=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto-com.webpkgcache.com\/doc\/-\/s\/ambcrypto.com\/category\/ethereum-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ethereum [ETH]<\/a>, witnessed an inflow of $38 million into its digital asset products, representing its highest since March. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CoinShares said this was,<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cLikely an early reaction to the approval of ETH ETFs in the United States.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, due to the series of outflows that Ethereum-backed products have experienced in preceding weeks, its month-to-date flows stood at a deficit of $11.1 million last week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, Bitcoin-backed digital asset investment products saw inflows of $1.05 billion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":64,"featured_media":395575,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[31,35,360,32,66,3,4,20],"tags":[6427],"class_list":["post-395568","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-altcoins-news","category-bitcoin-news","category-btc-trading-view","category-ethereum-news","category-new-news","category-news","category-social","category-trading-view","tag-ambcrypto"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v28.0 (Yoast SEO v28.4) - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-premium-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Bitcoin-backed inflows cross $1B in 1 week!
