{"id":393595,"date":"2024-05-21T12:30:28","date_gmt":"2024-05-21T07:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/?p=393595"},"modified":"2024-05-21T12:22:38","modified_gmt":"2024-05-21T06:52:38","slug":"ethereum-price-prediction-will-etfs-finally-take-eth-beyond-4k","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/ethereum-price-prediction-will-etfs-finally-take-eth-beyond-4k\/","title":{"rendered":"Ethereum price prediction: Is $4000 next after ETH&#8217;s +17% hike?"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ETH now trades at a two-month high.<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The number of short positions liquidated on 20th May represented the coin\u2019s single-day highest since the beginning of the year.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/category\/ethereum-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ethereum [ETH]<\/a> has rallied to a two-month high after Bloomberg analysts increased the odds of the Ethereum Exchange Traded Fund&#8217;s (ETF) successful launch.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EricBalchunas\/status\/1792636523050906102\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">post<\/a> on X (formerly Twitter) on 20th May, Eric Balchunas, a senior analyst at Bloomberg, raised the approval odds for the Ethereum exchange-traded fund (ETF) from 25% to 75%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Balchunas posted on the social media platform following reports that the United States Securities and Exchange Commission had asked aspiring ETH ETF applicants to update their 19b-4 filings ahead of the deadline this week.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>ETH in the last 24 hours<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At press time, ETH exchanged hands at $3,648, recording a 17% price hike in the past 24 hours, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/ethereum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CoinMarketCap\u2019s<\/a> data. This uptick led to the liquidations of several short positions held in the coin\u2019s futures market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinglass.com\/currencies\/ETH\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Coinglass<\/a> data, the amount of ETH\u2019s short liquidations climbed to a year-to-date high of $81 million on that day. On-chain data has revealed a considerable spike in whale activity in the past 24 hours.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AMBCrypto found that as ETH\u2019s price trended toward $3700 on 20th May, the count of ETH transactions worth over $1 million also increased. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Per Santiment\u2019s data, 1393 transactions of this nature were completed on that day, representing the highest number since 14th April.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On 20th May, transactions worth above $100,000 totaled 11,827.
