At press time, the altcoin was valued at $0.15, logging a minor 0.13% price uptick in the last 24 hours, according to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/dogecoin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CoinMarketCap<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In fact, DOGE\u2019s price has fallen by 10% over the past week, making it the only leading memecoin to see a double-digit price decline in the last seven days.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>What can coin holders expect?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the altcoin\u2019s price charts, bearish readings remain significant. For starters, DOGE\u2019s price crossed below its 50-day small moving average (SMA) and trended under its 200-day SMA, at press time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DOGE\u2019s decline below its 50-day SMA confirmed the shift in market\u2019s sentiment from bearish to bullish. As it gears towards its 200-day SMA, the memecoin\u2019s price may be approaching a long-term support level of $0.1.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Furthermore, the Awesome Oscillator, which measures DOGE&#8217;s market momentum, posted downward-facing red histogram bars, at the time of writing. This indicator has maintained this trend since 14 April. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When an asset\u2019s Awesome Oscillator trends in this manner, it is an indication that selling pressure is significant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The decline in DOGE\u2019s Relative Strength Index (RSI) below its neutral line confirmed the fall in demand for the memecoin. At press time, DOGE\u2019s RSI had a reading of 42.87. Simply put, this value suggested that market participants favoured coin sell-offs over accumulation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, the coin\u2019s MACD line (blue) rested below its signal (orange) and zero lines at press time. This crossover highlighted that DOGE\u2019s short-term trend is weaker than its longer-term trend.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Realistic or not, here\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/calculator\/marketcap\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">DOGE\u2019s market cap in BTC\u2019s terms<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Traders view this as a sign to exit their long positions and take short ones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another indication that long trades may not be beneficial in the long term was the position of DOGE\u2019s Parabolic SAR at press time.
