This indicator is the key"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ethereum\u2019s Taker Buy Sell Ratio attempts to breach the center line in an uptrend.<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, bearish sentiments continue to grow.<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/search\/ETH\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ethereum\u2019s [ETH]<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Taker Buy Sell Ratio is poised to cross above its center line, signaling a rise in bullish sentiment amid recent market troubles, data from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoquant.com\/asset\/eth\/chart\/derivatives\/taker-buy-sell-ratio?exchange=all_exchange&amp;window=DAY&amp;sma=30&amp;ema=0&amp;priceScale=log&amp;metricScale=linear&amp;chartStyle=line\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CryptoQuant<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has shown.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Taker Buy Sell Ratio is a metric that measures the ratio between the buy volume and sell volume in an asset\u2019s futures market. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A value greater than 1 indicates more buy volume than sell volume, while a value less than 1 indicates more sell volume than buy volume.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At press time, ETH\u2019s Taker Buy Sell Ratio was 0.96, per CryptoQuant\u2019s data.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_82615\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-82615\" style=\"width: 2560px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eng.ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Ethereum-Taker-Buy-Sell-Ratio-All-Exchanges-SMA-30.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-82615\" src=\"http:\/\/eng.ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Ethereum-Taker-Buy-Sell-Ratio-All-Exchanges-SMA-30.png\" alt=\"Ethereum Taker Buy Sell Ratio - All Exchanges (SMA 30)\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1612\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-82615\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: CryptoQuant<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h4><b>The bears remain in control<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite the spike in ETH\u2019s Taker Buy Sell Ratio, an assessment of the coin\u2019s spot and futures markets revealed that bearish sentiments remain significant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example, ETH\u2019s Futures Open Interest has fallen to its lowest since the 28th of February, according to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinglass.com\/currencies\/ETH\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coinglass<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> data. It peaked at $15 billion on the 9th of April and has since declined. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At $11 billion as of this writing, ETH\u2019s Open Interest has plummeted 27% in the last seven days.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An asset\u2019s Open Interest measures the value of its Futures contracts that are yet to be closed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> When it declines this way, it suggests that market participants are closing their positions and exiting the market without opening new ones.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the last week, ETH\u2019s funding rates briefly turned negative on 14th April, when a significant number of market participants opened trades against the coin\u2019s price. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This marked the first time ETH would record a negative Funding Rate since the bull market rally began in October 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_82617\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-82617\" style=\"width: 2560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eng.ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Screenshot-2024-04-17-at-07.39.32.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-82617\" src=\"http:\/\/eng.ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Screenshot-2024-04-17-at-07.39.32.png\" alt=\"Ethereum funding rates\" width=\"2560\" height=\"758\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-82617\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Coinglass<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In its spot market, key technical indicators observed on a daily chart hinted at the possibility of a decline below $3000 if bearish sentiments linger.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ETH\u2019s Awesome Oscillator, which measures market momentum, posted downward-facing red histogram bars at press time.
