In fact, i<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nformation retrieved from the on-chain data provider revealed that Solana&#8217;s network has seen a fall in demand since 17 March, resulting in a decline in its daily active addresses, network fees, and revenue derived from them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Artemis, the daily count of unique addresses that have completed at least a single transaction on Solana has dropped by 50% since 17 March. On that day, 2.4 million addresses were active on the chain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For context, this marked the year-to-date (YTD) high in the number of daily active addresses on Solana. By 8 April, this had fallen by more than half to 1.2 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_383314\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-383314\" style=\"width: 1196px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Solana-Daily-Active-Adrdresses.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-383314 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Solana-Daily-Active-Adrdresses.png\" alt=\"Solana Daily Active Adrdresses\" width=\"1196\" height=\"960\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Solana-Daily-Active-Adrdresses.png 1196w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Solana-Daily-Active-Adrdresses-300x241.png 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Solana-Daily-Active-Adrdresses-1024x822.png 1024w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Solana-Daily-Active-Adrdresses-768x616.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1196px) 100vw, 1196px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-383314\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Artemis<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Due to the decline in Solana\u2019s user activity, daily fees received from network transactions have also plummeted. AMBCrypto found that after Solana\u2019s network fees climbed to a YTD high of $5 million on 18 March, it initiated a downtrend and it has since fallen by 40%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a result, revenue derived from fees has seen a corresponding decline. As of 8 April, Solana\u2019s network revenue from fees totaled $1.3 million. This represented a 48% drop from the $3 million recorded in revenue on 18 March.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>DEX volume, network TVL, and NFT sales: A tale of\u00a0 many declines<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assessing Solana\u2019s decentralized finance (DeFi) and non-fungible token (NFT) sectors offers a clearer view of how the decline in user activity has impacted the network.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AMBCrypto found that when Solana\u2019s daily active address count began to drop on 17 March, the value of the total volume transacted on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) housed within the network also started to fall.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Realistic or not, here\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/calculator\/marketcap\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">SOL\u2019s market cap in BTC\u2019s terms<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With a trading volume of $1.2 billion recorded on 8 April, Solana\u2019s DEX trading volume has cratered by 70% since 17 March. On that day, DEX trading volume on the network totalled $4 billion, according to on-chain data.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, the month so far has witnessed a pullback in Solana\u2019s total value locked (TVL). With a reading of $4.4 billion at press time, this has fallen by 8% since 1 April, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/chain\/Solana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DefiLlama\u2019s<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> data revealed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regarding the network\u2019s NFT vertical, sales volume has depreciated by double digits over the past month.
