{"id":381442,"date":"2024-04-04T08:30:02","date_gmt":"2024-04-04T03:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/?p=381442"},"modified":"2024-04-03T18:07:29","modified_gmt":"2024-04-03T12:37:29","slug":"uniswap-whales-dump-uni-as-prices-dip-10-should-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/uniswap-whales-dump-uni-as-prices-dip-10-should-you\/","title":{"rendered":"Uniswap: Whales dump UNI as prices dip 10% &#8211; Should you?"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><i>Whales started profit-taking over concerns of steeper drops ahead.<\/i><\/li>\n<li><i>UNI&#8217;s technical indicators flashed strong bearish signals.<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A whale was spotted sending a massive stash of <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/uniswap-price-prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Uniswap [UNI]<\/a> holdings to crypto exchanges, presumably to make profits.<\/p>\n<h4>Whales offload UNI bags for gains<\/h4>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/etherscan.io\/token\/0x1f9840a85d5af5bf1d1762f925bdaddc4201f984?a=0x1c6b5795be43ddff8812b3e577ac752764635bc5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">on-chain data<\/a>, the investor transferred 1.36 million UNI tokens, worth more than <a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/uniswap\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">$15 million<\/a> at prevailing market prices, to <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/category\/binance-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Binance<\/a> in the last 48 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the whale purchased 1.53 million when UNI&#8217;s price was $6.45. As of this writing, the wallet has been drained off all UNI holdings, suggesting potential profits worth $6.5 million on the total investments.<\/p>\n<h4>UNI&#8217;s fortunes shift sharply<\/h4>\n<p>The sell-off followed a disappointing month for the governance token of the world&#8217;s largest decentralized crypto exchange (DEX). UNI plummeted 11.56% in the last seven days, and more than 10% over the month, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/uniswap\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CoinMarketCap<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The slump erased roughly half of the gains recorded in late February and early March.<\/p>\n<p>As per AMBCrypto&#8217;s analysis of Santiment data, the unrealized losses of UNI holders increased sharply in the past week.
