It reached $200 for the first time since October 2021.<\/p>\n<p>At press time, SOL was 22x higher than the lows of the 2022 crypto winter.<\/p>\n<h4>Network activity imparts value<\/h4>\n<p>The increasing on-chain activity was likely boosting the coin&#8217;s value.<\/p>\n<p>Solana logged the highest decentralized exchange (DEX) volumes for the second straight day, surpassing <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/category\/ethereum-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ethereum [ETH]<\/a> and all its associated layer-2 (L2) networks, AMBCrypto noted using <a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/dexs\/chains\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DeFiLlama&#8217;s<\/a> data.<\/p>\n<p>As evident below, Solana&#8217;s weekly DEX volumes have been growing steadily over the past month, reaching an all-time high (ATH) of $17.5 billion last week.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_377235\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-377235\" style=\"width: 809px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/sol-dex-volume.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-377235\" src=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/sol-dex-volume.jpg\" alt=\"Solana DEX volume\" width=\"809\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/sol-dex-volume.jpg 809w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/sol-dex-volume-300x167.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/sol-dex-volume-768x427.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 809px) 100vw, 809px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-377235\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: DeFiLlama<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Higher engagement with DEXes meant a higher number of transactions, and therefore higher fees. Solana recorded its highest on-chain <a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/fees?category=Chain&amp;category=Rollup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fees<\/a> on the 17th of March, totaling $3.82 million.<\/p>\n<p>Ethereum&#8217;s on-chain fees have declined in recent days, while Solana&#8217;s have increased.
