The U.S. government&#8217;s latest action has further raised concerns, prompting speculation about its potential impact on the flow and price of BTC.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>U.S. sell-off seized Bitcoin<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As per an <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BitcoinMagazine\/status\/1750592884510986308?t=gy7HYOBO1mW-l7n-k40WlA&amp;s=19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online notice<\/a>, the U.S. Department of Justice has declared its intention to sell a portion of <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/bitcoin-falters-post-etf-but-what-about-the-long-term\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bitcoin<\/a> obtained from the legal case against Ryan Farace and his father Joseph Farace. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The charges against them included money laundering conspiracy. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Justice Department reported the successful recovery of over 2,933 BTC from the Farace family. The asset is presently valued at about $117 million, though it was valued at around $133.5 million when the forfeiture notice was released on 10th January.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ryan Farace was convicted in 2018 for the production and sale of Xanax pills on dark web platforms such as Silk Road. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While this is not the first time the U.S. has confiscated and sold Bitcoin, the current state of BTC prices has increased interest in the recent announcement by the U.S. agency.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Inflow dominates Bitcoin\u2019s netflow<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The recent announcement prompted increased attention, particularly when examining the netflow of <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/bitcoin-falters-post-etf-but-what-about-the-long-term\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bitcoin<\/a> on exchanges. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to data from CryptoQuant, there has been a notable increase in inflows compared to outflows in recent days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Essentially, more BTC has been directed to exchanges for selling purposes. Notably, the U.S. announcement coincided with a continuous outflow from <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/bitcoin-are-rising-grayscale-outflows-behind-btcs-price-drop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Grayscale Bitcoin<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>BTC\u2019s attempt at recovery continues<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An examination of the daily timeframe chart for <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/bitcoin-is-a-recovery-in-the-works\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bitcoin<\/a> showed recent attempts at recovery over the past few days.
