However, there has been a recent decrease in their TVLs. Given this development, what is the current trend in network volume?<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Arbitrum and Optimism see a reduction in TVL<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An analysis of the <a href=\"https:\/\/l2beat.com\/scaling\/summary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">L2 Beats<\/a> chart over the past 24 hours showed that <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/arbitrum-traders-dial-down-excitement-as-arb-prices-drop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arbitrum<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/optimism-can-rising-interest-from-the-gaming-sector-help-op\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Optimism<\/a> have seen reductions in their Total Value Locked (TVL). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Arbitrum&#8217;s TVL has experienced a nearly 9% decline, while Optimism&#8217;s decreased by over 12% at the time of this report. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite these significant drops, their standings relative to other L2 platforms remain unaffected. Presently, Arbitrum maintains a TVL dominance of over 49%, with a total of over $10 billion. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Optimism holds almost 25% dominance with a TVL of over $5 billion.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>\u00a0Volume excitement dies down<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Arbitrum volume chart on <a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/chain\/Arbitrum?volume=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DefiLlama<\/a> showed a noteworthy surge in volume earlier in the year. The chart showed that the volume went over the $1 billion threshold multiple times during the month. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The initial entry into this zone recorded a volume of around 1.8 billion, marking the highest point in its history. However, the volume has since declined, and as of the present analysis, it was around $542 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Similarly, an analysis of the Optimism <a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/chain\/Optimism?volume=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">volume<\/a> displays a parallel pattern.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> At the beginning of the year, there was a substantial increase in volume, reaching as high as $184 million. However, the volume reduced over time and is currently around $48 million. This decline in volume serves as an indicator of reduced transaction activity on both networks.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>ARB and OP witness declines<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/arbitrums-dominance-soars-as-these-metrics-break-barriers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arbitrum<\/a> daily timeframe chart, a brief respite from its decline was observed on 24th January, during which it added around 2.8% in value.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> However, the current situation reflects a return to the downtrend, marked by a decline of over 4%.
