However, Chainlink acted differently as its price shot up. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/chainlink\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CoinMarketCap<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, LINK was up by more than 18% in the last seven days. In fact, in the last 24 hours alone, LINK was up by over 7%. At the time of writing, LINK was trading at $15.56 with a market cap of over $8.8 billion. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thanks to the rising price, LINK\u2019s Social Volume spiked on the 13th of January, reflecting its popularity in the crypto space. At press time,<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/link-price-rises-5-in-24-hours-is-a-34-prediction-viable\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LINK<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was ranked 13th in terms of market cap. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whalestats\u2019<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whalestats.com\/analysis-of-the-top-100-eth-wallets\/historicalMetric?metricName=mostTransactedERC20Holding\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">data<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> pointed out that whale activity around the token was high. LINK ranked 10th on the list of the most purchased crypto among the top 100 ETH whales in the last 24 hours. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our analysis also revealed a similar story, showing that the number of whale transactions remained relatively high throughout the last week.
