The hike in network activity indicated a massive surge in adoption and usage. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since we have entered a new year, let&#8217;s take a closer look at zkEVM\u2019s network stats to see whether the same trend will continue in January 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Of Polygon zkEVM\u2019s performance in December<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a tweet dated the 3rd of January, Today In Polygon, a popular X (formerly Twitter) handle noted that <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/polygon-zkevm-sees-a-dramatic-rise-in-dex-volumes-why\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">zkEVM<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">daily active addresses surged by more than 200% in December. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, its number of daily transactions spiked by over 130% in the last 30 days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/TodayInPolygon\/status\/1742357851345916314?t=WS1F82RqCCUGbmnsYtoGFA&#038;s=19<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thanks to that uptick, the rollup&#8217;s gas usage increased. According to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/polygon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CoinMarketCap<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in the last 24 hours, MATIC was down by more than 2%. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The token\u2019s trading volume also witnessed an increase while its price dropped, which legitimized the downtrend.
