{"id":356563,"date":"2023-11-08T21:00:39","date_gmt":"2023-11-08T15:30:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/?p=356563"},"modified":"2023-11-09T03:50:21","modified_gmt":"2023-11-08T22:20:21","slug":"xrp-soars-16-in-7-days-is-this-why","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/xrp-soars-16-in-7-days-is-this-why\/","title":{"rendered":"XRP soars 16% in 7 days: Is this why?"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em>XRP\u2019s price increased by 16% in the last week as Ripple is set to kick off its Swell event.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>With its MVRV ratio at a new high, profit-taking activity might push down XRP\u2019s value<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ahead of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ripple.com\/events\/swell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ripple Swell<\/a> event scheduled to commence on the 8th of November, XRP has posted a 16% price growth in the last week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ripple Swell is a two-day event often held in November since 2017, where leading figures in the global payments industry come together to discuss a variety of topics.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Crypto research firm ASXN noted in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter) that XRP\u2019s value usually sees a surge leading up to the Swell conference but tends to decline afterward.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">1\/2<\/p>\n<p>XRP typically rallies into their flagship Swell conference, before dropping post the conference.<\/p>\n<p>The Swell conference is being hosted in Dubai this year from Nov 8th-Nov 9th and has rallied ~40% into the event. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/KgEue6wLx9\">pic.twitter.com\/KgEue6wLx9<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; ASXN (@asxn_r) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/asxn_r\/status\/1721964632603038193?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 7, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The rally in price ahead of the event is typically tied to the yearly anticipation of the significant announcements expected to be made at the gathering.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a post made on the 27th of October, pseudonymous X user WKahneman noted that specific announcements to be made at this year\u2019s Swell event remain uncertain. However, there are some possibilities on the table.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These include an Initial Public Offering (IPO), the acquisition of a Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) license, Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), stablecoin\/tokenization initiatives, and more.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, the event may shed light on whether Ripple continues to view itself primarily as a payment company.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This year&#39;s SWELL may be very significant. A positive MVRV ratio above the center line signals that an asset is overvalued. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The more this ratio increases, the more likely traders have historically demonstrated their willingness to sell for profit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AMBCrypto discovered that at 81.73%, XRP\u2019s press time MVRV was at its highest since the 14th of August.
