It also influenced assets on Polygon [MATIC], Arbitrum [ARB], and Optimism [OP].<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Today we received a report of an issue on a certain feature of the Aave Protocol. To users, they suggested disabling the stable rate mode borrowing to be even safer.<\/p>\n<p>Stable rate mode borrowing is when people borrow cryptocurrency at a fixed interest rate, which doesn&#8217;t change even if the market&#8217;s interest rates go up or down. When a DeFi protocol experiences security issues, people become wary of using it, and this can impact its reputation and adoption.<\/p>\n<p>The temporary pause in Aave&#8217;s markets can disrupt trading activities and affect the protocol&#8217;s performance. At press time, it was trading at $88.607.
