According to statistics sourced from Token Terminal, Uniswap encountered a substantial decline of 21.3% in its daily active user base over the preceding month.<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, this contraction in user engagement correlated with a reduction in the fees generated by the Uniswap protocol.<\/p>\n<h4>Steps to hinder MEV attacks<\/h4>\n<p>Compounding these challenges were the recurring instances of Miner Extractable Value (MEV) transactions and sandwich attacks targeting the Uniswap network.<\/p>\n<p>MEV transactions and sandwich attacks represent forms of front-running and market manipulation techniques capable of exploiting vulnerabilities within automated market makers like Uniswap.<\/p>\n<p>To counteract the adverse impact of MEV-related activities, Uniswap introduced strategic measures, with UniswapX being a prominent example. UniswapX is engineered to capture MEV and redistribute it to traders through enhanced prices.<\/p>\n<p>This approach safeguards traders&#8217; interests by ensuring that the benefits they derive are not siphoned off by arbitrageurs.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, UniswapX encourages users to employ private transaction relays when routing orders to on-chain liquidity venues.
