Among FTX\u2019s holdings, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dogecoin [DOGE]<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tron [TRX]<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> were the most vulnerable, as per the latest data.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Decoding FTX\u2019s holdings<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Messari recently posted a tweet highlighting FTX\u2019s largest holdings, which included several cryptos with large market capitalizations. The tweet also highlighted the value of different cryptos that the exchange held.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">FTX LIQUIDATIONS UPDATE <\/p>\n<p>FTX liquidators hold approximately $1.3 billion of liquid crypto assets (excluding stablecoins) which have been dragged down by fear of FTX liquidations potentially beginning Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Largest holdings: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24SOL&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$SOL<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24BTC&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$BTC<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24ETH&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$ETH<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24APT&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$APT<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24DOGE&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$DOGE<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24TRX&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$TRX<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24MATIC&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$MATIC<\/a>\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ki3l6xKgPf\">pic.twitter.com\/ki3l6xKgPf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Messari (@MessariCrypto) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MessariCrypto\/status\/1701271690150396278?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 11, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The relevant figure wasn\u2019t the absolute value of the tokens held, but rather their amount relative to each asset&#8217;s actively traded volume. FTX has a total of more than $3 billion in crypto assets, and as per the proposed plan,<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/solana-why-ftxs-upcoming-sell-off-could-threaten-sols-position\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FTX<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will liquidate over $200 million every week, beginning from 13 September.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Not all cryptos have concerns<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Though the liquidation has the potential to increase downward pressure, not all assets have reasons for concern. FTX\u2019s<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bitcoin [BTC]<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> holdings, worth $353 million, were only 1% of BTC&#8217;s weekly traded volume. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since the exchange\u2019s holding only accounts for a fraction of the king of cryptos\u2019 weekly trade volume, its liquidation might not affect BTC to a higher degree.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The same was true with<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ethereum [ETH]<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ripple [XRP]<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as FTX\u2019s holding accounted for nearly 1% of both tokens\u2019 weekly trade volume, meaning the market can absorb much of the selling. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While the aforementioned assets were behind a firewall, several other cryptos were directly exposed to the threat.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/why-the-crypto-market-should-brace-for-another-downward-pressure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reported<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> earlier,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Solana [SOL]<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> might experience greater sell-off pressure in the days to come. FTX\u2019s holding translates to more than 80% of SOL\u2019s weekly volume. Therefore, a massive hike in selling pressure seemed inevitable, which could push the token\u2019s price down. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, Solana has a trick up its sleeve, which can save it from a bloodbath.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SOL held by the exchange consists largely of vesting tokens that are not immediately liquid in open markets. Therefore, only SOL worth $9.2 million will be unlocked per month. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This significantly reduces the impact of the liquidation and brings it closer to the manageability of ETH and BTC liquidations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>DOGE and TRX are under threat<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While Solana had a trump card, not every crypto was blessed with the same. Messari\u2019s tweet mentioned that DOGE and TRX are two of the coins that might face trouble post-liquidation. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Both coins are less liquid compared to the rest, as<\/span> <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/ftx-sues-layerzero-over-alleged-illicit-fund-withdrawals-details-inside\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FTX<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> holdings represent 6\u201312% of weekly volumes and can have a much higher impact on the market. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of now, TRX has managed to paint its weekly chart green as its price increased by more than 1%. At press time, it was<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">trading<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at $0.07867.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/how-twitter-elon-musk-shapes-dogecoins-future\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DOGE<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, on the other hand, was already bearish as its value declined by over 4% in the last seven days. At the time of writing, it was trading at $0.06096 with a market capitalization of over $8.5 billion. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was interesting to note that both coins had high trading volumes throughout the last week. However, a look at their daily charts helped understand whether there were other concerns apart from FTX\u2019s action.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/tron-reverses-august-losses-can-it-reclaim-0-08\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TRX<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s daily chat revealed quite a few bearish market indicators. Its MACD already displayed a bearish crossover.
