The bullish development, which also pushed Grayscale Ethereum Trust (ETHE) to its <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/grayscale-ethereum-trust-nears-2023-high-as-etf-hopes-mount\/\">yearly highs<\/a>, fueled expectations of additional investment and liquidity in a market that has been relatively quiet in recent months.<\/p>\n<p>However, an impending bearish occurrence threatened to dampen market participants&#8217; enthusiasm.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Is your portfolio green? Check out the\u00a0FTT Profit Calculator<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Will FTX flood the market with cryptos?<\/h4>\n<p>According to a DeFi analyst, tainted cryptocurrency exchange FTX [FTT] could start liquidating its recovered crypto assets in the coming week, exerting significant downward pressure on the market.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Big selling pressure is potentially coming next week\ud83d\udea8<\/p>\n<p>FTX will likely get approval to liquidate its assets on Sept. 13.<\/p>\n<p>FTX had $3.4B in crypto in April. If the court grants permission, it would trigger a sell-off cycle at the rate of up to $200 million each week.<\/p>\n<p>As per a hearing held on 12 April, the bankrupt trading platform held assets worth <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/ftxs-10-million-crypto-transfer-sparks-concerns-of-market-disruption\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">$4.3 billion<\/a> in cryptos available for stakeholder recovery at the then market prices. Overall, the exchange managed to recover assets worth more than $7 billion in liquid cash, cryptos, and securities, since going bust in the fall of 2022.<\/p>\n<h4>SOL to suffer?<\/h4>\n<p>While latest data on the makeup of the recovered holdings was not available, a January disclosure suggested that the majority of them could be held in Solana [SOL].\u00a0The DeFi analyst predicted that SOL might experience greater sell-off pressure in the days to come.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Realistic or not, here\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/calculator\/marketcap\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">SOL\u2019s market cap in BTC terms<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The development could disappoint SOL fan base who have been celebrating a series of positive stories lately, the most notable of which being a high-stakes deal with payments giant <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/heres-how-sol-reacted-to-the-visa-solana-partnership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Visa<\/a>.
