Specifically, on 10 August, the number of active users exceeded 136,000\u2014an all-time peak since its inception. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As noted by <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WuBlockchain\/status\/1689847907875504128\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WuBlockchain<\/a>, this sudden rise in the metric could be attributed to the widespread popularity of a social network constructed upon the Base platform.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">On August 10, the number of daily active users of the L2 network Base launched by Coinbase exceeded 100,000 for the first time, reaching 136,000, including nearly 42,000 new users. As of this writing, the TVL was approximately $171 million. The TVL constituted about 1.63% of the overall TVL across Layer 2 solutions. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Notably, this placed Base as the holder of the fifth-largest TVL position within this context.
