At press time, it was positioned at 26.38%.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Exchanging hands at $105.07 at press time per data from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/litecoin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CoinMarketCap<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, should LTC traders expect a price decline?<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Smart money is still present in the LTC market<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Operating on a proof-of-work (PoW) network, Litecoin has been steadily building momentum in the last week, with investors and enthusiasts eagerly anticipating the chain\u2019s third <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.litecoinblockhalf.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">halving<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> event.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This anticipation caused the network\u2019s native coin to close Q2 by marking a local price bottom at $85, signifying the exit of \u201cweak hands\u201d and the entry of \u201csmart money\u201d &#8211; an event that has since caused a 20% jump in LTC\u2019s value.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An on-chain assessment of the altcoin\u2019s Network Profit\/Loss (NPL) metric confirmed this. This metric tracks the average profit or loss of all coins that change addresses daily to capture periods of profit-taking or holder capitulation on-chain.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to data from Santiment, LTC\u2019s NPL dropped to -44.04 million on 30 June, after which the alt\u2019s price began to climb.
