The OI measures the number of outstanding derivatives contracts on exchanges.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the OI increases over time, it means that liquidity was flowing into the market. Hence, a continuous opening of new contracts could further improve the coin\u2019s current trend.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With respect to liquidation, the derivatives information portal <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinglass.com\/LiquidationData\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">showed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that almost $500,000 has been wiped out.
