This version, v2, holds significant importance as it marks the most substantial upgrade since Lido&#8217;s launch in December 2020. <\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">How much are 1,10,100 LDOs worth today?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ethereum is its primary and largest market for liquid staking tokens, making this upgrade all the more crucial.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>The Lido deployment plan<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a 12 May post by Lido, two key areas of focus were highlighted for this upgrade: <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/decoding-ethereums-eth-chances-of-achieving-a-35-surge-in-staking-demand\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ETH<\/a> staking withdrawals and introducing a Staking Router. This, in turn, would result in a healthier <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/lido-finances-ldo-latest-audit-data-is-out-heres-what-you-need-to-know\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lido<\/a> protocol and fulfill the long-awaited capability of staking and unstaking at will.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Furthermore, as of this writing, the voting process for the deployment of Lido&#8217;s second iteration was yielding favorable results. The <a href=\"https:\/\/vote.lido.fi\/vote\/156\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">feedback from voters<\/a> has been positive, indicating a promising outlook for implementing the upgrade. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The voting period is set to conclude on 14 May, at which point the final results will be determined. Assuming the voting process concludes as scheduled, the deployment of the new iteration is planned to take place on 15 May.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>How LDO reacted<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Upon initiating the voting process, a closer examination of <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/lido-finance-and-the-saga-of-the-liquid-staking-derivative-sector\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LDO&#8217;s<\/a> daily timeframe chart revealed a positive reaction. On 12 May, the chart displayed a notable surge, with LDO gaining 15.38% in value by the end of the trading session. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This surge represented the highest spike witnessed in nearly two months. Also, this metric reflected the total amount of assets currently locked on the platform in terms of value.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to data from <a href=\"https:\/\/dune.com\/hildobby\/eth2-staking\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dune Analytics<\/a>, Lido maintained its position as the platform with the highest stakes on the Ethereum network. As of this writing, Lido held a market share of over 30%, signifying its dominance.
