The first Hydra head recently opened on mainnet.<\/p>\n<p>This video is a great starting point for exploring the current release,\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/g1moYifGNj\">pic.twitter.com\/g1moYifGNj<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Input Output Group (@IOGroup) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/IOGroup\/status\/1654034234200162304?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 4, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Realistic or not, here\u2019s<a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/calculator\/marketcap\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"> ADA&#8217;s market cap in BTC<\/a>\u00a0terms<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK), the network\u2019s developers, Hydra represents,<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201ca family of Layer 2 (L2) protocols designed to make Cardano more scalable and adaptable for various use cases that require fast and cheap transactions.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the ability to make transactions cheaper and faster on the Cardano network, the launch of the first Hydra head is expected to significantly scale up Cardano\u2019s transactions per second (TPS) to 1 million from the 250 it sat at before the release of Hydra.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, as decentralized finance (DeFi) projects launch on the L2 network, Cardano\u2019s total value locked (TVL) is expected to climb even further. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As previously <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/decoding-the-possibilities-of-cardanos-tvl-touching-its-previous-ath\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reported<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Cardano\u2019s TVL increased consistently over the last six months. Since the middle of April, the coin has posted a double-digit decline of 13%, falling from a high of $0.45 reached on 15 April.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The decline in ADA\u2019s value within this period could be partly attributable to a fall in its network activity. The token&#8217;s MVRV ratio remained in negative territory since 27 April.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Is your portfolio green?
