{"id":300964,"date":"2023-03-28T15:00:27","date_gmt":"2023-03-28T09:30:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/?p=300964"},"modified":"2023-03-28T12:26:59","modified_gmt":"2023-03-28T06:56:59","slug":"dydx-v4-blockchain-prepares-for-public-testnet-native-token-loses-edge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/dydx-v4-blockchain-prepares-for-public-testnet-native-token-loses-edge\/","title":{"rendered":"dYdX V4 blockchain prepares for public testnet, native token loses edge"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em>dYdX V4 blockchain will be made available on the public testnet <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">by the end of July.<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>DYDX commences a new bear run, putting sellers back in control.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leading perpetual contracts trading platform dYdX [DYDX] <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dydx.exchange\/blog\/v4-milestone-3-is-complete\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">announced<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the completion of the third of five milestones toward the eventual launch of its dYdX V4 blockchain.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Read\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/dydx-price-prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">DYDX\u2019s Price Prediction<\/a>\u00a02023-24<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First announced in June 2022, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dydx.exchange\/blog\/dydx-chain\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">dYdX V4 blockchain<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a standalone blockchain currently being developed based on the Cosmos SDK and Tendermint Proof-of-stake consensus protocol.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">dYdX V4 is being designed to feature a fully decentralized, off-chain orderbook and a matching engine capable of scaling orders of magnitude more than any existing blockchain can support.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On what comes next, the perpetuals trading platform noted further that Milestones 4 and 5 would involve the launch of a public testnet by the end of July, an increased number of validators testing the product, and an eventual launch on the mainnet by the end of September.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>DYDX has a mind of its own<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While the general cryptocurrency market witnessed consolidation in the last week, DYDX traded downwards. As a result, the token\u2019s value fell by 6% during that period. At press time, the alt traded at $2.34 per DYDX token, data from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/dydx\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CoinMarketCap<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> revealed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An assessment of the token\u2019s price movement on a daily chart revealed the commencement of a new bear cycle on 26 March. This was when the Moving average convergence\/divergence (MACD) line intersected with the trend line in a downtrend. The asset\u2019s Directional Movement Index showed the Negative Directional Indicator (red) at 18.85. It rested above the Positive Directional Indicator (green) at 15.10. This showed that selling pressure outweighed buying momentum in the DYDX market at press time.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Is your portfolio green? As of this writing, DYDX\u2019s Relative Strength Index (RSI) was 46.61. Inching closer to the oversold territory, the alt\u2019s Money Flow Index (MFI) sat at 31.95.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The month so far has witnessed a decline in DYDX\u2019s Open Interests.
