Despite the passage of several months since its introduction, investors remain committed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Read <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/apecoin-price-prediction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ApeCoin&#8217;s [APE] Price Prediction<\/a> 2023-24<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><b>A lot at stake<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A recent <a href=\"https:\/\/etherscan.io\/address\/0xf0a0e9c7cdab0335fe65b8eba5a72c8694961fc9#tokentxns\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Etherscan<\/a> track of an address revealed an intriguing transaction. According to the available data, the address purchased about 2 million USDT on 20 March and then used them to purchase <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/yuga-labs-twelvefold-auction-had-this-effect-on-apecoin-ape\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ApeCoin<\/a>. The fascinating aspect of the observed transaction was that the purchased APE was subsequently staked.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/apecoins-short-lived-staking-hype-could-have-this-impact-on-ape-and-its-holders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">APE staking<\/a> function originally went live in December, it brought nearly $30 million in just 24 hours. Horizen Labs&#8217; staking approach rewarded ApeCoin, Bored Ape Yacht Club [BAYC], and Mutant Ape Yacht Club [MAYC] NFT holders who staked their tokens in the contract with APE tokens.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The APY for the BAYC pool was 121.81% and that of ApeCoin was 65.87%, according to data from <a href=\"https:\/\/apecoinstaking.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ApeCoinstaking.io<\/a>. At the same time, APY for MAYC and Bored Ape Kernel Club [BAKC] were at 132.28% and 133%, respectively. The percentage yield was quite high at inception, but gradually decreased over time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The APE stakes totaled over 54 million, worth over $216 million, and represented over 13% of the supply in circulation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Traders take short positions<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Short positions have dominated the market since December, according to historical funding rates data from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinglass.com\/funding\/APE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Coinglass<\/a>. In addition, the recent APE unlock may have encouraged traders to initiate short positions against <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/apecoin-bucks-the-trend-by-gaining-after-its-token-unlock-heres-why\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">APE<\/a> and the high APY, which could negatively influence the price.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">How much are 1,10,100 APEs worth today?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><b>ApeCoin price retraces to the pre-staking period<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The daily timeframe chart for <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/apecoin-ape-reacts-in-this-manner-as-yuga-labs-dives-into-ordinals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">APE<\/a> showed that the price saw an uptrend when the staking function was enabled. The price then retraced to where the upward trend had begun.
