It serves as a central hub that connects various blockchain networks. It allows them to communicate and transact in a secure and decentralized manner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With a resounding majority, the community has decided to implement an upgrade dubbed the Lambda V9 via <a href=\"https:\/\/wallet.keplr.app\/chains\/cosmos-hub\/proposals\/187\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">proposal 187<\/a>. Using an economic attack to filter or control a consumer chain has the same effect as censoring or controlling the network. As a result, supply chains don&#8217;t need to manage their own validator sets to reap the security benefits of the Cosmos Hub.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The IBC protocol is essential to the operation of Replicated Security. The Cosmos Hub&#8217;s validator set is periodically broadcast in IBC packets. Consumer chains then use this information to synchronize their validator sets with the Hub. As a result, validators on <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/cosmos-atom-institutional-investment-drowns-as-traders-eye-longs-more-inside\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cosmos<\/a> can use the same stake to verify transactions across several chains. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mintscan.io\/cosmos\/blocks\/14470501\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mintscan.io<\/a>, this feature is now expected to go live on March 15.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>What this means for ATOM<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the proposal, validators could use a single <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/will-cosmos-mars-protocol-hype-sustain-in-the-long-run-data-suggests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ATOM<\/a>\u00a0staked in the network to ensure the safety of several chains. Consumer chains must send them a share of their fees and inflation to compensate the validators and delegators of the Cosmos Hub for their work. After that, the Cosmos Hub will incorporate these tokens into its staking rewards. This change implies that validators can acquire consumer chain tokens as compensation for their efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stakingrewards.com\/earn\/cosmos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Staking rewards<\/a> revealed that Cosmos Hub&#8217;s (ATOM) staking ratio was 60%, at press time. As a result, more than 60% of its market capitalization was staked then. The market cap was over $3.5 million, while the staking market cap was over $2.4 million.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Dev activity and price trends north<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the time of writing, Santiment&#8217;s data revealed that development activity on Cosmos Hub has been on the rise.
