A similar trend might be about to kick off this year and <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/makerdao-new-proposal-seeks-the-promotion-of-usdp-and-the-increment-of\/\">MakerDAO<\/a> might lead that charge.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Realistic or not, here&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/calculator\/marketcap\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MakerDAO&#8217;s market cap in BTC&#8217;s terms<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>According to Messari, RWAs represent an asset class worth millions of dollars. This makes it an appealing segment that will likely not be ignored. \u00a0Messari also revealed that MakerDAO is one of the DeFi projects that are already working towards tapping into growth opportunities in RWAs.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Real-world assets (RWAs) are a multi-trillion dollar asset class, yet DeFi&#39;s current exposure is only around $356M.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BlockTower?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@BlockTower<\/a> Credit is taking advantage of this limited exposure through its partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MakerDAO?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@MakerDAO<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/centrifuge?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Centrifuge<\/a>, bringing $220M in RWAs to DeFi. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Kgm4FCjUnJ\">pic.twitter.com\/Kgm4FCjUnJ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Messari (@MessariCrypto) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MessariCrypto\/status\/1616918588228792320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 21, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>According to the Messari analysis, <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/makerdao-enters-this-new-partnership-how-will-mkr-react-to-it\/\">partnerships<\/a> between MakerDAO, Centrifuge, and Block Tower may bring as much as $220 million into DeFi. If MakerDAO plays its cards right, it might tap into a market capable of generating more value for MKR.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>MKR price action<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/will-makerdao-hold-geminis-gusd-in-its-reserve-early-voting-numbers-suggest\/\">MKR<\/a> managed to pull off a rally by as much as 48% from the start of January to its latest monthly high. One of the reasons for this is that the price is showing relative weakness as observed in the RSI. The MFI also reveals that money has been flowing out in the last few days.<\/p>\n<p>Money outflows suggest that sell pressure is starting to manifest. This reflects the current market sentiment which indicates that investors are shifting towards a bearish expectation. This means lower trading activity is taking place now, than during the middle of the month. Perhaps an indication of slowing demand. According to its supply distribution metric, addresses holding between 100 and 10,000 coins have been contributing the most to sell pressure.
