This is because the self-upgradeable blockchain<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0ensured that it went ahead with its 12th protocol upgrade.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Referred to as \u201cLima\u201d, the announcement from Nomadic Labs showed that the network reform occurred at exactly 01:57:59 UTC at a block height of 2,981,889. The latest development served as a follow up to the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/heres-where-tezos-xtz-landed-after-the-kathmandu-upgrade-went-live\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kathmandu upgrade<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which happened in September.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Read <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/predictions\/tezos-price-prediction-2025\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tezos&#8217; [XTZ] Price Prediction<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a02023-24<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><b>No rollups but take the keys<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/research-development.nomadic-labs.com\/lima-is-live.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">joint publication<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from Nomadic Labs and its partner research development firms, the upgrade would have nothing to do with optimistic rollups. However, the Tezoz community would be able to access the much-requested consensus keys. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, the upgrade would allow block propagation of Layer one (L1) protocols. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following the statement, Tezos fought off crackdowns with the state of its development activity. Data from Santiment displayed that open-source blockchain had sustained a rise in development activity since 14 December.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the metric moving up to 1.31, it meant that Tezos\u2019 commitment to the project was unwavering. Needless to say, the Tezos development <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/app.santiment.net\/charts\/GfewDmdl__sCl\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">demonstrated<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> no interdependence on the XTZ. Off the back of the development, XTZ <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/tezos\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">exchanged hands<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at $0.82. According to the data from the derivatives information source, XTZ\u2019s open interest was mostly green from exchange to exchange.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Since it was increasing, it signaled strength for the XTZ current trend. Furthermore, the projection would mean that short-positioned traders might profit more.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That was the situation as the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinglass.com\/LiquidationData\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">liquidation data<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> showed that longs were mostly the liquidations casualties. At press time, there had been over $19,400 in market wipe off with longs accounting for $19,000 out of it. As shown by Santiment, the NFT <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/app.santiment.net\/charts\/GfewDmdl__sCl\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">trades volume<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> had subdued. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At $4,405, the volume implied the lowest sales recorded since 5 December. This was further confirmed by the information of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dappradar.com\/nft\/marketplaces\/protocol\/tezos\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DappRadar<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Based on information from the NFT marketplace aggregator, the top Tezos NFT recorded meager sales as floor price massively tanked.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, the overall XTZ volume was in no position for increment. According to Santiment, more than 26% of the 24-hour trading volume had been skimmed.
