Projects who are confirmed to have received refunds include <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Dejitaru_Tsuka\/status\/1586852399691567105\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tsuka<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (765,000 DAI), <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Kondux_KNDX\/status\/1586858508258971649\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kondux<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (209 ETH), <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cawcoinprice\/status\/1586841350238265344\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">$CAW<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (5,073,000 DAI) and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FEGtoken\/status\/1586787745237704706\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FEG<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (548 ETH).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The hacker has identified themselves as a whitehat, i.e a hacker who identifies vulnerabilities in a software and has no malafide intentions. However, the hacker will be keeping 10% of the exploited funds as bug bounty.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As per Team Finance\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.team.finance\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">official website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, all services have been restored and are running correctly. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cAll user funds are unaffected and safe,\u201d the website reads.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>More on the hack<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Team Finance was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TeamFinance_\/status\/1585562380591063043\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">alerted<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> about the hack on their platform on 27 October, which led to a loss of $14.5 million. The exploit occurred during the platform\u2019s migration from Uniswap v2 to v3. Interestingly, the smart contract involved in the hack was previously audited.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The protocol, which has $3 billion secured over 12 blockchains, immediately suspended all activities on the platform and urged the hacker to get in touch in order to discuss a bug bounty.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ethereum Input Data Messages (IDM) obtained from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/etherscan.io\/idm-chat?addresses=0xBa399a2580785A2dEd740F5e30EC89Fb3E617e6E&amp;title=0xBa399a2580785A2dEd740F5e30EC89Fb3E617e6E\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Etherscan<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> show the plight of the users affected by this exploit. Helpless users lined up in the hacker\u2019s chat box to request refunds. The hacker responded by clarifying that he is a white hat and plans to return the majority of the looted funds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Data from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/protocol\/team-finance\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Defi Llama<\/span><\/a> revealed<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that Team Finance\u2019s total value locked (TVL) plunged by as much as 14% in the hours following the hack, going from $147 million to $126.9 million.
