Both of them addressed the concerns raised by users.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Reassurance to community<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The executives denied rumors stemming from regulators and investors surrounding the crypto lender\u2019s solvency, reassuring everyone that the company was solvent.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cInsolvency and bankruptcy are nowhere in Nexo\u2019s reality, and we believe, we hope, we aspire, we work very hard to deliver a very strong and sustainable future for our users,\u201d Metodiev stated.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The executives addressed one matter in particular, the comparison to defunct crypto lenders like Voyager Digital and Celsius Network.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cFinding resemblances with these two names [Celsius and Voyager] or other names in the space is very far from reality and I think this is very easily verifiable\u201d Metodiev clarified.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Metodiev\u2019s argument was furthered by Trenchev, who cited the creditor&#8217;s list from the bankruptcy filings of Voyager and Celsius pointing out that Nexo was not on that list.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trenchev went on to remind the community that unlike the other lenders going through bankruptcy proceedings, Nexo did not have any exposure to Terra or Three Arrows Capital.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>What caused the FUD<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nexo was the subject of simultaneous enforcement <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/crypto-lender-nexo-faces-charges-from-eight-u-s-states\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">action<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by eight different U.S. state regulatory agencies. Regulators from California, Virginia, Kentucky, and Oklahoma issued cease and desist orders against the lender.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New York, Washington, Maryland, and South Carolina issued <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">notices leveling similar accusations in dealing a major blow to the lender.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This was followed by a sensational <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dirtybubblemedia.substack.com\/p\/is-nexo-nexto\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">article<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> published by a media house, which pointed out some rather uncomfortable facts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The article talked about how Nexo held the majority of its token supply on the platform itself, much like Celsius.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As per the author, a drop in the token\u2019s value due to the enforcement action would devalue the platform dramatically, raising solvency concerns.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These claims were rubbished by Nexo\u2019s spokesperson, who stated that <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nexo&#8217;s token holdings represented less than 10% of its assets.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This was followed by an update from PeckShieldAlert on Twitter. The on-chain analytics firm <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PeckShieldAlert\/status\/1575909088533401600\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">informed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that an address associated with NEXO had withdrawn 7,758.8 $WBTC ($151 million) from MakerDAO.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This sudden funds transfer caused panic among investors, especially in the backdrop of all the FUD caused by regulatory action and claims about token holdings.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Increased transparency ahead<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The executives concluded the session by assuring the community of increasing the transparency surrounding the company\u2019s financial aspects, without compromising on the competitive edge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The general sentiment on social media following the AMA session was of a positive nature.
