This can be stated as the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NFT<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> marketplace announced that MATIC would be an integral part of its new Web3 marketplace protocol known as Seaport.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Starting today, we will begin using Seaport for all new listings and offers on Polygon! We\u2019re excited to start using Seaport across multiple blockchains to improve the experience for everyone on OpenSea.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what you can expect with this move to Seaport \u21af<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; OpenSea (@opensea) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/opensea\/status\/1564717997842845696?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 30, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h3><strong>More for less\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/opensea.io\/blog\/announcements\/polygon-on-seaport\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">details<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, MATIC would function beyond transaction use alone. While <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/0xPolygon\/status\/1564741270106423298\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">confirming<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the partnership with OpenSea, Polygon revealed that the update would mean the network was completely out of the 0x protocol it worked with previously. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, its existence on Seaport would mean the minimum price of any NFT listed using MATIC was now $1 instead of the previous $5 limit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the update, OpenSea MATIC transactions would then open doors to multiple creator fees, bundle listing, and sales, including cheaper gas fees. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A look at the Polygon NFT data on OpenSea showed that the activities had obviously declined. According to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dappradar.com\/polygon\/marketplaces\/opensea\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DappRadar<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, sales volume via Polygon for the last seven days capped at $1.13 million. But with MATIC\u2019s involvement, is there any hope to attract a crowd?<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Yes! We can<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It may seem that the OpenSea update may have yielded some positive results for MATIC. This presumption is because Santiment <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/app.santiment.net\/charts\/gTURtV_I__sCl\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">showed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that there has been increased participation in MATIC\u2019s network activity. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While its active addresses went extremely low on 30 August, its rise in the last 24 hours has been phenomenal. While the price was almost a negligible <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/polygon\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">increase<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to $0.83, the On-Balance-Volume (OBV) looked to have aligned with the active address pump.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of 29 August, the OBV was 25.66 billion. It has, however, improved to 25.82 billion.
