But over the last few weeks, the second biggest DEX lost that upper hand by giving it to Uniswap.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Curve gets a curveball<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The weekly volume noted on-chain shows that week on week since October 2021, Curve had a significant dominance over Uniswap. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When Uniswap was conducting transactions worth $529 million, Curve was registering twice as much volume sitting at $1.2 billion, particular to USD stable.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_252404\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-252404\" style=\"width: 1847px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screenshot-2022-08-17-160000.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-252404\" src=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screenshot-2022-08-17-160000.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1847\" height=\"675\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screenshot-2022-08-17-160000.png 1847w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screenshot-2022-08-17-160000-300x110.png 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screenshot-2022-08-17-160000-1024x374.png 1024w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screenshot-2022-08-17-160000-768x281.png 768w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screenshot-2022-08-17-160000-1536x561.png 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1847px) 100vw, 1847px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-252404\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em> Curve vs Uniswap volume and domination <\/em> | Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/dune.xyz\/\">Dune &#8211; AMBCrypto<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In terms of capturing the market, Curve at one point held almost 71% of the market, whereas Uniswap only had 29% of it. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over the last month, the tables turned, and towards the end of July, Uniswap gained a 72.3% domination while Curve just had 27.7% of the market.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In doing so the total volume generated by both also switched places as Curve noted $572 million worth of trade, while Uniswap observed $1.58 billion of the same.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>On the charts<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is despite the fact that on the charts, Curve had been noting a phenomenal growth rising by over 164% in the span of a little over a month. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In fact, this rally even superseded Uniswap\u2019s growth, which in almost two months now only gained by 147%.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_252405\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-252405\" style=\"width: 1834px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/CRVUSD_2022-08-17_15-58-53.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-252405\" src=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/CRVUSD_2022-08-17_15-58-53.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1834\" height=\"867\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/CRVUSD_2022-08-17_15-58-53.png 1834w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/CRVUSD_2022-08-17_15-58-53-300x142.png 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/CRVUSD_2022-08-17_15-58-53-1024x484.png 1024w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/CRVUSD_2022-08-17_15-58-53-768x363.png 768w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/CRVUSD_2022-08-17_15-58-53-1536x726.png 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1834px) 100vw, 1834px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-252405\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em> Curve price action <\/em> | Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/\">TradingView &#8211; AMBCrypto<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But going forward as Curve lost the DEX domination, it could also lose this recovery. In the last 20 days alone, a drawdown of almost 18% has been witnessed in the case of CRV, and price indicators do not look positive right now. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Parabolic SAR is about to flip its three-week long uptrend into a downtrend and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) has already been in a bearish crossover for the same period of time, expected to intensify over the coming days as evinced by the red bars on the indicator.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, since broader market cues aren\u2019t explicitly bearish, it may not fall by much.
