At press time, it was trading at $29,339 on the charts.<\/p>\n<p>However, does the crypto plan on pleasing the bears for a bit longer, or do the bulls aim to take back their position? Let\u2019s see what the metrics have to say\u2026<\/p>\n<h4>Hibernate a bit longer?<\/h4>\n<p>2022 hasn&#8217;t seen the world&#8217;s largest cryptocurrency at its best on the charts. Additionally, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/glassnodealerts\/status\/1528197874298679296\">data<\/a> from Glassnode also revealed that the number of whales holding BTC hit a 21-month low of 1,745. Furthermore, the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/glassnodealerts\/status\/1528182769733468160\">amount<\/a> of supply last active in the last five to seven years also touched a three-month high of 699,937.<\/p>\n<p>On the contrary, the number of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/glassnodealerts\/status\/1528212951714471936\">addresses<\/a> holding more than one BTC hit an ATH of 844,956, despite the ongoing bear market. Is BTC sending out mixed signals about its performance?<\/p>\n<p>It may be too soon to say since additional metrics have another story to tell.<\/p>\n<h4>The bulls weaken, as the bears strengthen\u2026<\/h4>\n<p>At press time, the <a href=\"https:\/\/alternative.me\/crypto\/fear-and-greed-index\/\">Bitcoin Fear and Greed Index<\/a> projected a sentiment of &#8220;extreme fear&#8221; as it stood at 14. Also, the <a href=\"https:\/\/studio.glassnode.com\/metrics?a=BTC&amp;category=&amp;m=indicators.Nvt&amp;s=1640995200&amp;u=1653157799&amp;zoom=\">NVT<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/studio.glassnode.com\/metrics?a=BTC&amp;category=&amp;m=indicators.Nvt&amp;s=1640995200&amp;u=1653157799&amp;zoom=\">MVRV<\/a> ratios stood at 43.89 and 1.23, respectively, thus strengthening the bearish sentiment.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) held its level at 36.55, moving sideways. The Awesome Oscillator (AO), while it flashed green bars, stayed put below the zero line. In a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jackmallers\/status\/1528126958692884480\">tweet<\/a>, for instance, Jack Mallers, claimed that Bitcoin still is the future of money.<\/p>\n<p>Sidharth Sogani, CEO of Crebaco Global, put out a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sidharthsogani\/status\/1528226348442996748\">tweet<\/a> sharing a timeline of the crypto&#8217;s performance. Author Robert Kiyosaki also <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/theRealKiyosaki\/status\/1527086282479788032\">tweeted<\/a> in favor of Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<h4>Are bears in for the long haul? Seems so&#8230;<\/h4>\n<p>Despite what Bitcoin enthusiasts feel and no matter what some metrics suggest, most metrics, at press time, indicated that bears will retain power in the short-term. That doesn&#8217;t mean Bitcoin is red or green, however.
