But, how has ADA fared in the meantime? Well, read the following to get your answer&#8230;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Once upon a time&#8230;<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>After recording an ATH of $3.10 eight months ago, ADA has lost over 70% of its value. At press time, it was trading at a price of $0.88.\u00a0 Following the announcement to increase the block size of the Cardano mainnet, ADA hiked by 5% on the charts.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, its market capitalization spiked up by 7% over 24 hours.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_230356\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-230356\" style=\"width: 1252px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/ADA_ALL_graph_coinmarketcap.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-230356 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/ADA_ALL_graph_coinmarketcap.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1252\" height=\"539\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/ADA_ALL_graph_coinmarketcap.png 1252w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/ADA_ALL_graph_coinmarketcap-300x129.png 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/ADA_ALL_graph_coinmarketcap-1024x441.png 1024w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/ADA_ALL_graph_coinmarketcap-768x331.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1252px) 100vw, 1252px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-230356\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: CoinMarketCap<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>On the trading volume front, ADA had shed over 40% of it since the beginning of the month. Thanks to the announcement, however, the same was recorded to be $917.17M &#8211; An 11% increase in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n<h4>This is what on-chain data says<\/h4>\n<p>Two months ago, Cardano\u2019s block size was increased by 11%. According to yesterday\u2019s announcement, the block size will be increased by another 10%. With an understanding of the benefits of block size increments, a look at on-chain data for Development Activity on the Network becomes pertinent.<\/p>\n<p>After recording a high of 117.36 on 17 February, the Development Activity has been on a downward spiral. Commencing the month with an index of 127.5k Active Daily Addresses, ADA saw a 55% decline. Yesterday, Active Daily Addresses stood at just 56.3k.<\/p>\n<p>Social Dominance for ADA recorded a high a 5.68% on 21 April. Besides that, the month was plagued by low points in terms of Social Dominance.
