It&#8217;s one of the most promising protocols that <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/InputOutputHK\/status\/1508443869012275208?s=20&amp;t=DUnNOLO3RRQINpC65tdOdQ\">continues<\/a> to reach new milestones. Although the project lacked use cases in the first four years, 2022 saw Cardano reach new milestones.<\/p>\n<p>This comes at the back of completing of the Alonzo Hard Fork upgrade in September 2021.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Bring it on<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Crypto intelligence firm IntoTheBlock reported that the number of large transactions on the Cardano blockchain hiked by more than 50x this year. While only <a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/chain\/Cardano\">seven DApps<\/a> appear on DefiLlama currently, co-founder Charles Hoskinson said many more were <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/IOHK_Charles\/status\/1506633303838887936?s=20&amp;t=CRBImtj6jBUWOOzXv028JQ\">expected<\/a> following due to a hard fork expected later this year.<\/p>\n<p>Two protocols (MiniSwap and MuesliSwap) <a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/chain\/Cardano\">stood out<\/a> in the last days towards the end of March.<\/p>\n<p>Santiment picked up on similar network activity. Such whales holding between $1.2 million and $12 million in ADA, the sudden spike in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ali_charts\/status\/1508878279700275211\">buying pressure could translate<\/a> into millions of dollars.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Any problems?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Well, with every milestone, there are some setbacks that the protocol did suffer in the past and even now.
