This came after a 15-week low seen on 10 January. But, it is worth noting that Solana <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/buzz\/2021-yearly-cryptocurrency-report?utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_campaign=2021-Yearly-Report&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;0=\">entered<\/a> the Top five cryptocurrencies by market cap only in the last quarter of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>After all, it was one of the few tokens to clock <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/buzz\/2021-yearly-cryptocurrency-report?utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_campaign=2021-Yearly-Report&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;0=\">gains<\/a> of over 10,000% in their price along with names like Fantom, Terra, and Polygon, as per CoinGecko.<\/p>\n<p>This month as well, SOL remains one of the most preferred projects in the Ethereum community. In a recent Twitter poll by Vitalik Buterin, SOL also made it to the list behind Cardano.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Poll for Ethereum community. He also <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/boa-solana-is-primed-to-beat-ethereum-and-be-the-visa-of-digital-asset-ecosystem\/\">said<\/a>,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;These innovations allow for the processing of an industry-leading ~65,000 transactions per second with average transaction fees of $0.00025, while remaining relatively decentralized and secure.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>However, slow <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/heres-what-it-means-for-solana-as-it-faces-yet-another-issue-on-binance\/\">Solana<\/a> transactions and network congestion have been haunting the chain for a while. Some time back, Solana faced a network downtime in lieu of \u201csome congestion due to mis-metered transitions\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>With that being said, the ecosystem has signed several partnerships in recent times.
