Alas, the king coin&#8217;s retracement towards $35,000 over the last 24 hours triggered a sharper sell-off and most alts were under the pump at press time. The likes of Monero, MATIC, and VeChain moved south and remained vulnerable to additional losses.<\/p>\n<h4>Monero [XMR]<\/h4>\n<figure id=\"attachment_163616\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-163616\" style=\"width: 1828px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/XMR-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-163616 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/XMR-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1828\" height=\"830\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/XMR-1.png 1828w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/XMR-1-300x136.png 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/XMR-1-1024x465.png 1024w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/XMR-1-768x349.png 768w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/XMR-1-1536x697.png 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1828px) 100vw, 1828px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-163616\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/symbols\/XMRUSD\/\"> XMR\/USD<\/a>, TradingView<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A look at Monero&#8217;s 12-hour chart showed that after the price was denied a break above the $292-resistance and the 200-SMA (green),\u00a0 the last four sessions resulted in red candlesticks. A close below the $240-support meant that XMR remained exposed to further losses.<\/p>\n<p>The<strong> RSI&#8217;s<\/strong> downtrend confirmed XMR&#8217;s price action as sellers mostly controlled the market since XMR formed a top at $315 during the first week of June. The <strong>MACD<\/strong> line was below the fast-moving line and supported the RSI&#8217;s bearish stance. Moving forward, bulls would hope to cut incoming losses at the demand zone of $174-208.<\/p>\n<h4>MATIC<\/h4>\n<figure id=\"attachment_163617\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-163617\" style=\"width: 1828px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/MATIC-5.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-163617 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/MATIC-5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1828\" height=\"830\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/MATIC-5.png 1828w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/MATIC-5-300x136.png 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/MATIC-5-1024x465.png 1024w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/MATIC-5-768x349.png 768w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/MATIC-5-1536x697.png 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1828px) 100vw, 1828px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-163617\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/symbols\/MATICUSD\/\"> MATIC\/USD<\/a>, TradingView<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MATIC&#8217;s movement within a bearish setup &#8211; a descending triangle &#8211; flashed some warning signs prior to today&#8217;s breakdown. Hence, it was no surprise when MATIC bulls ceded the bottom trendline to the sellers. A breakdown represented losses of 10% and an extended sell-off seemed likely as only a few weak support lines lay between MATIC&#8217;s descent towards the $1-mark.<\/p>\n<p>Bearish momentum was on the up on the <strong>Awesome Oscillator<\/strong> over the past couple of days. Some relief was provided by the <strong>RSI&#8217;s<\/strong> oversold nature which warranted a reversal. This translated to MATIC finding some support at its present price, but selling pressure would likely drag the cryptocurrency to lower levels after a reset.<\/p>\n<h4>VeChain [VET]<\/h4>\n<figure id=\"attachment_163618\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-163618\" style=\"width: 1828px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/VET-4.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-163618 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/VET-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1828\" height=\"830\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/VET-4.png 1828w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/VET-4-300x136.png 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/VET-4-1024x465.png 1024w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/VET-4-768x349.png 768w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/VET-4-1536x697.png 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1828px) 100vw, 1828px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-163618\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/symbols\/VETUSD\/\">VET\/USD<\/a>, TradingView<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Despite losses of 3% over the last 24 hours, VeChain&#8217;s down-channel remained intact on its 4-hour chart. In fact, the price approached a crucial area of support at $0.092 and a breakdown could trigger another 20% retracement. However, as was the case with MATIC, VET&#8217;s <strong>RSI<\/strong> also suggested a reversal since it was trading in the bottom zone.<\/p>\n<p>If the bulls manage to defend $0.092 from a breakdown, VET would likely oscillate within its pattern with a slight chance of breakout above $0.118.
