More than anything, what the first quarter of 2021 witnessed was the continuing trend of Bitcoin&#8217;s institutional adoption. What markets were also subjected to was high volatility &#8211; Bitcoin&#8217;s price hit an ATH above $60,000 while ETH hiked above $4000.<\/p>\n<p>At the moment, however, market-wide corrections are in play, with BTC trying to consolidate above the $38,000-level.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of months ago, Goldman Sachs\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/finance\/exclusive-goldman-sachs-restarts-cryptocurrency-desk-amid-bitcoin-boom-2021-03-01\/\">resumed<\/a> its cryptocurrency desk after getting <a href=\"https:\/\/resources.goldman.com\/content\/dam\/pwm\/direct-links\/isg-calls\/client_call_materials_27May20.pdf?sa=n&amp;rd=n\">cold feet<\/a> back in 2018 mainly due to the lack of regulations. Fast forward to 2021, it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/finance\/exclusive-goldman-sachs-restarts-cryptocurrency-desk-amid-bitcoin-boom-2021-03-01\/\">opened<\/a> its trading desk for cryptocurrencies and began dealing with BTC Futures contracts. Furthermore, it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-05-06\/goldman-offers-new-bitcoin-derivatives-to-wall-street-investors\">offered<\/a> BTC derivatives to its peers on Wall Street.<\/p>\n<p>Ever wondered why did GS do that?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here&#8217;s one of the reasons&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a recent report published by Goldman Sachs, the firm shared its analysis of Bitcoin. To begin with, the multinational bank shared a timeline of behavioral trends between 2013-2016 and 2017-2021. Alex Kruger <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/krugermacro\/status\/1395884451549356037\">provided<\/a> the report&#8217;s screenshots on his Twitter feed.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"und\" dir=\"ltr\">2013-2016 sv 2017-2021 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/7b1DG6pHXu\">pic.twitter.com\/7b1DG6pHXu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Alex Kr\u00fcger (@krugermacro) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/krugermacro\/status\/1395884478015418369?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 21, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The report itself fueled quite a few interesting reactions online, with the founder of asset management firm Aike Capital and active Crypto-Twitter commentator expressing his bullish narrative on his feed,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;If I read that report and were a nocoiner, I&#8217;d go look at the charts, recognize this as a great entry point, and go shopping. The same argument was reiterated by Michael Novogratz, Galaxy Investment Partners\u2019 CEO.
