The aforementioned ATH came on the back of a solid uptrend for the alt, an uptrend that saw the crypto surge by over 32% in a week. With the cryptocurrency&#8217;s on-chain metrics flashing bullish cues at the time of writing, more upside can be expected from ETH in the near term.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, the last few trading sessions noted a spike in trading volumes too, a sign of the price action being supported by market support.<\/p>\n<p>While <strong>Parabolic SAR&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>dotted markers were under the price candles and underlined the bullishness of the ETH market, <strong>Relative Strength Index\u00a0<\/strong>was well into the overbought zone, hitting highs unseen since January. With RSI not having a lot of room to move north on the charts, the possibility of a reversal should be expected too.<\/p>\n<p>Here, it&#8217;s also worth noting that ETH&#8217;s surge up the charts has followed a similar spike in the OI and volumes of CME ETH Futures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Uniswap [UNI]<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_157166\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-157166\" style=\"width: 1805px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/UNI-PASADS.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-157166 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/UNI-PASADS.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1805\" height=\"824\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/UNI-PASADS.png 1805w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/UNI-PASADS-300x137.png 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/UNI-PASADS-1024x467.png 1024w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/UNI-PASADS-768x351.png 768w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/UNI-PASADS-1536x701.png 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1805px) 100vw, 1805px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-157166\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/symbols\/UNIUSD\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UNI\/USD<\/a> on TradingView<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Uniswap, the crypto-market&#8217;s leading DeFi coin, was ranked 11th on the charts at press time. Thanks to the general bullishness in the altcoin market, UNI was also quick to recover from the market-wide depreciation on the 25th of April. In fact, the crypto appreciated by over 42% in just 4 days.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, however, UNI has stalled somewhat on the price charts, with the crypto continuing to trade within a tight price range over the last few days. At the time of writing, the <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/how-uniswap-v3-launch-will-impact-the-token\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">release of V3<\/a> was yet to have an effect on the crypto&#8217;s price.<\/p>\n<p>While <strong>MACD\u00a0<\/strong>line was above the Signal line, it was nearing a bearish crossover. This suggested that a trend reversal remained a possibility. Valued at $106 at press time, ETC was well past the $94-mark Donald McIntyre <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/what-can-traders-anticipate-with-ethereum-classic-in-the-long-and-short-term\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">proposed<\/a> as a near-term target for the crypto in a video a few weeks back. It&#8217;s worth highlighting, however, that his projections were predicated on ETH hitting $3,000.
