According to a release shared with AMBCrypto, this new feature aims to \u201cincrease capital efficiency and trade execution quality.\u201d The new protocol is scheduled to launch on the Ethereum mainnet on 5 May, 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the previous version, liquidity providers would keep capital as a reserve for an infinite range of prices; however, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Uniswap v3 includes \u201cconcentrated liquidity\u201d that allows individual liquidity providers control over price ranges their capital is allocated to. Thus <\/span>liquidity providers <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">can provide liquidity with \u201cup to 4000x capital efficiency\u201d relative to v2.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other features such as multiple fee tiers and advanced oracles are said to be \u201ceasier and cheaper\u201d to integrate. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Addressing the launch, Hayden Adams, founder of Uniswap Labs said that the protocol serves as a \u201ccritical infrastructure\u201d for decentralized finance. He added:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Uniswap v3 now paves the way for automated market makers to outcompete both stablecoin-focused and traditional exchanges on trade execution quality.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Recently, analysts at Intotheblock stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Uniswap?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Uniswap<\/a>&#8216;s governance token <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24UNI&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$UNI<\/a> reached a new high of $35.2 with a lot of excitement building around the upcoming v3.<\/p>\n<p>In just 78 days of 2021, the protocol did $73.1b in traded volume and over $219m in fees.<\/p>\n<p>As well, the Total Value Locked reached a new ATH of $5.23b <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/yeklzbFt8V\">pic.twitter.com\/yeklzbFt8V<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 IntoTheBlock (@intotheblock) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/intotheblock\/status\/1373405781903745031?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 20, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Across the DeFi sector Curve, YieldSpace, Balancer, and DODO among other projects have been attempting to improve providing liquidity in decentralized exchanges.
