However, the said correlation hasn&#8217;t been extremely evident over the past 48 hours or so, with the likes of Tezos, Cosmos, and Algorand dropping in value even as BTC consolidated its own position. In fact, just over a few months ago, XTZ was in the top-10 of the market. However, inconsistent price movements and the relative surges of competitive coins have well and truly pushed Tezos down the charts. This, despite the fact that the altcoin climbed to its ATH just a few weeks ago.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past 48 hours, a downtrend took over XTZ&#8217;s price action, with the alt falling by over 6.5%.<\/p>\n<p>As far as the crypto&#8217;s technical indicators were concerned, while the\u00a0<strong>Parabolic SAR&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>dotted markers were pictured above the price candles, the\u00a0<strong>Chaikin Money Flow\u00a0<\/strong>was falling below the zero-mark.<\/p>\n<p>Tezos was last in the news after it announced Edo, its fifth and most ambitious blockchain upgrade.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cosmos [ATOM]<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_147475\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-147475\" style=\"width: 1805px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/ATOM-PA-121.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-147475 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/ATOM-PA-121.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1805\" height=\"784\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/ATOM-PA-121.png 1805w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/ATOM-PA-121-300x130.png 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/ATOM-PA-121-1024x445.png 1024w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/ATOM-PA-121-768x334.png 768w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/ATOM-PA-121-1536x667.png 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1805px) 100vw, 1805px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-147475\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/symbols\/ATOMUSD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ATOM\/USD<\/a> on TradingView<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>ATOM&#8217;s price movements over the last few days shared distinct similarities with the ones noted by Tezos, with the former registering a proper downtrend. In fact, over the said time period, ATOM fell by almost 7.5%. Like Tezos and Cosmos before it, the last few days saw a downtrend take over the alt&#8217;s price action, despite a brief spurt in value. That being said, it&#8217;s worth noting that ALGO has been rangebound for the past two weeks now, with Bitcoin&#8217;s foray above $55,000 doing little to push ALGO towards new ATHs.<\/p>\n<p>ALGO&#8217;s indicators highlighted the bearishness in the market as while the <strong>Relative Strength Index\u00a0<\/strong>was positioned very close to the oversold zone, the <strong>MACD\u00a0<\/strong>line was under the Signal line thanks to a bearish crossover.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Algorand announced a collaboration with Curv to build what it called &#8220;Trusted DeFi.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thanks to the altcoin market&#8217;s correlation with Bitcoin, the former climbed on the charts on the back of BTC&#8217;s price rise.
