Curiously, Tesla&#8217;s stock price was up by just over 1.3% in the last 24 hours, whereas stocks with smaller market caps but higher Bitcoin allocations rallied by over 20% over the same period of time.<\/p>\n<p>These stocks are sometimes referred to as &#8220;Bitcoin stocks&#8221; by some traders, with their prices often rallying in tandem with Bitcoin&#8217;s following announcements that have ordinarily led to surges in the cryptocurrency&#8217;s price. Of these, MicroStrategy was up by 19%, GBTC was up by 16%, and Marathon Patent Group was up by 34% in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_141474\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-141474\" style=\"width: 2568px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Screenshot-2021-02-09-at-3.57.46-PM.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-141474 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Screenshot-2021-02-09-at-3.57.46-PM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"2568\" height=\"1200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Screenshot-2021-02-09-at-3.57.46-PM.png 2568w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Screenshot-2021-02-09-at-3.57.46-PM-300x140.png 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Screenshot-2021-02-09-at-3.57.46-PM-1024x479.png 1024w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Screenshot-2021-02-09-at-3.57.46-PM-768x359.png 768w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Screenshot-2021-02-09-at-3.57.46-PM-1536x718.png 1536w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Screenshot-2021-02-09-at-3.57.46-PM-2048x957.png 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 2568px) 100vw, 2568px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-141474\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: CoinGecko<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Bobby Ong was one of many to comment on the subject of &#8220;Who&#8217;ll be next.&#8221; The CEO of CoinGecko told AMBCrypto that Tesla\u2019s Bitcoin investment &#8220;came a lot sooner than expected.&#8221; At this point in time, there are 19 publicly traded <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/public-companies-bitcoin\">companies<\/a> that hold 104,530 BTC, a figure that constitutes about 0.57% of Bitcoin\u2019s total supply.<\/p>\n<p>According to the exec,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;In my opinion, the next company to look out for will be Twitter. Its CEO Jack Dorsey is a known proponent of Bitcoin.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Since Dorsey&#8217;s Square Inc. had already purchased $50M worth of Bitcoin in 2020, Ong expects Twitter to take the lead.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Following on, I would expect other Big Tech companies such as Facebook, Alphabet, and Amazon to invest in Bitcoin.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>What does this entail? Well, this might mean a new wave of investments into Bitcoin, and not just from institutions.<\/p>\n<p>According to the CoinGecko exec, with major institutions increasing their holdings, the general public will begin to have more faith and trust in Bitcoin. This could pave the way for a new wave of retail investments.<\/p>\n<p>A similar sentiment was expressed by the Research team at Binance.
