Following the news that MicroStrategy will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microstrategy.com\/en\/investor-relations\/press\/microstrategy-announces-proposed-private-offering-of-600m-of-convertible-senior-notes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sell<\/a> $600M in convertible senior notes to buy Bitcoin, BTC surged to record yet another ATH on the price charts, with the cryptocurrency&#8217;s market cap inching towards the $1 trillion-mark too.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, BTC was valued at $50,299, with the cryptocurrency having risen as high as $50,602 on the charts.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_142788\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-142788\" style=\"width: 1805px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/BTCPSDS.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-142788 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/BTCPSDS.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1805\" height=\"856\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/BTCPSDS.png 1805w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/BTCPSDS-300x142.png 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/BTCPSDS-1024x486.png 1024w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/BTCPSDS-768x364.png 768w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/BTCPSDS-1536x728.png 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1805px) 100vw, 1805px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-142788\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/symbols\/BTCUSD\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BTC\/USD<\/a> on TradingView<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As previously mentioned, many believe that Bitcoin&#8217;s latest price hike was fueled by news of Tesla&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/tesla-buys-1-5-billion-worth-of-bitcoin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">purchase<\/a> of Bitcoin worth $1.5 billion last week and more recently, MicroStrategy&#8217;s accelerated plans to buy more BTC. In light of speculations that Apple might be the next to dive in and the fact that Miami is looking into adding $BTC to its balance sheet, it&#8217;s perhaps no surprise that the cryptocurrency has surged the way it has.<\/p>\n<p>Just like last time, Bitcoin&#8217;s breach of $50k was supported by a host of fundamental metrics flashing bullish signals on the charts.<\/p>\n<p>The 200-day moving average for active addresses on the network, for instance, has continued to climb on the charts. In fact, Bitcoin&#8217;s development activity too has <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/santimentfeed\/status\/1361255800254181376\/photo\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">risen<\/a> &#8220;quietly&#8221; to a 2-month high.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_142730\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-142730\" style=\"width: 2011px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/EuQmHd_XcAIajiY.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-142730 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/EuQmHd_XcAIajiY.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2011\" height=\"1227\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/EuQmHd_XcAIajiY.jpg 2011w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/EuQmHd_XcAIajiY-300x183.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/EuQmHd_XcAIajiY-1024x625.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/EuQmHd_XcAIajiY-768x469.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/EuQmHd_XcAIajiY-1536x937.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 2011px) 100vw, 2011px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-142730\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Santiment<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>That&#8217;s not all, however, with Bitcoin&#8217;s liquid supply continuing to fall on the charts. The same was highlighted by Glassnode recently, with the report in question stating that investors are increasingly acquiring or holding the crypto-asset for the long-term. Until a few days ago, Bitcoin&#8217;s 30-day MVRV Ratio, for instance, was at its highest level since its top on the 14th of January. In fact, one can argue that there is precedence for the same too, especially since one of Bitcoin&#8217;s Elon Musk-related <a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/what-explains-bitcoins-unexplainable-movements-in-recent-days\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hikes<\/a> wasn&#8217;t backed by most major indicators.
