Perhaps Tesla\u2019s investment policy could further the asset\u2019s narrative as an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/eng.ambcrypto.com\/bitcoin-is-now-an-institutional-product\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">institutional product.<\/span><\/a> A<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nalysts suggest that tech giant Apple should follow Tesla\u2019s path into Bitcoin.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The publicly traded US firm worth more than $2 trillion could single-handedly make US a global crypto leader, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for up to two decades, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/investing\/markets\/inside-the-market\/article-mondays-analyst-upgrades-and-downgrades-132\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">said<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Mitch Steves, an analyst at RBC Dominion Securities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The analyst thinks that Apple could \u201cimmediately gain market share and disrupt the industry,\u201d if the company launches into the crypto exchange business. According to Steves, such a development could allow Apple to unlock a \u201cmulti-billion dollar opportunity with a few clicks.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Steves calculated the scenario based on how Jack Dorsey\u2019s Square earned over $1.6 billion in revenue from Bitcoin in the third quarter last year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In comparison, as of January, Apple boasts an active user base made up of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-apple-results\/apple-tops-wall-street-expectations-on-record-iphone-revenue-china-sales-surge-idUSKBN29W2TD?il=0\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1.65 billion<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> devices, while Square has 30 million strong monthly active users.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, the analyst found that Apple\u2019s Wallet service made significantly contributes to the firm\u2019s growth. According to analysts, Apple could earn about $40 billion every year from a wallet-based crypto exchange.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, Dan Weiskopf, portfolio manager at Toroso Investments <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.etfthinktank.com\/blog\/apple-should-take-a-bite-out-of-bitcoin\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">believed <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that the tech firm should take a closer look at Bitcoin especially as a hedge against inflation.
