The firms have allocated or intend to allocate amounts ranging from $100 million to $600 million to invest in BTC.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I know you guys aren&#39;t really panicking about <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bitcoin<\/a>, but in case you are&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>One River ($1.6B fund) bought $600M &amp; will buy $400M more<br \/>Guggenheim ($5.3B fund) will buy $530M<br \/>SkyBridge ($9.2B fund) bought $182M<br \/>Ruffer ($27B fund) bought $744M<br \/>MassMutual ($675B AUM) bought $100M<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Samson Mow (@Excellion) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Excellion\/status\/1346071483274072064?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 4, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To date, Galaxy Digital is said to hold 16,651 BTC and Square about 4,709 BTC. Additionally, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bitcointreasuries.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bitcointreausuries<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> projected that over 800,000 Bitcoin or 4% of the total circulating supply is held by public companies.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moreover, Grayscale Investments <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BarrySilbert\/status\/1343680110902341633?s=20\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">announced<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that its assets under management, such as Bitcoin, Ether and others, are now worth $19 billion in crypto. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recently, even crypto fund manager Bitwise <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/ambcrypto.com\/fund-manager-bitwise-surpasses-500-million-in-bitcoin-ethereum-and-other-crypto-aum\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">surpassed<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> $500 million in AUM and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/bitwise-surpasses-500-million-in-assets-under-management-as-crypto-demand-surges-amongst-professional-investors-301200059.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">recorded<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Q4 inflows into its Bitcoin, Ethereum, and crypto index funds, outpacing previous quarters.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At press time, Bitcoin was trading at<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> $32,020.31 and has been up by 1.1% in the last 24 hours and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">18.6% in the past week.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Blockstream&#8217;s CSO, Samson Mow, thinks that institutional investors decide to buy Bitcoin regardless of its price movements.
