According to a recent announcement<\/a>, a smart contract development platform for Tezos, Smart Chain Arena (SmartPy.io), is the newest recipient of a blockchain integration grant from Chainlink. The grant will enable Chainlink price feeds to be integrated on Tezos, something that will help the blockchain platform build next-generation DeFi products.<\/p>\n

The Chainlink Community Grant Program<\/a>\u00a0provides financial resources to the many development teams and researchers building a more functional and accessible Chainlink Network.<\/p>\n

This grant will enable Tezos developers to integrate Chainlink’s price reference data feeds as a means of giving all Tezos DeFi developers access to the largest collection of live decentralized price oracles in the market. It will also create a framework for quickly and securely launching new oracle networks for a variety of in-demand market datasets.<\/p>\n

Another advantage here could be the creation of a more advanced monitoring system for cross-chain integration to support DeFi projects building on Tezos. Tezos\u2019s ability to facilitate formal verification of smart contracts makes it an attractive solution for high-value financial applications and an important platform to launch Chainlink Price Feeds on.<\/p>\n

According to a statement released by Smart Chain Arena,<\/p>\n

“As a highly experienced dev shop that\u2019s intimately familiar with Tezos and Chainlink, we look forward to giving Tezos developers access to Chainlink\u2019s ready-made and proven decentralized price oracles to support the launch of next-generation DeFi applications on Tezos in a secure, yet accelerated manner.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Tezos, a blockchain led by Frenchman Arthur Breitman and developed by a team of researchers in France, was recently mentioned<\/a> in glowing terms by the French media, suggesting that it is regaining some traction and public attention.<\/p>\n
